So I have been patient with my views for the most part on the "Occupy Movement." I feel the movement speaks for itself. The fact that it just keeps growing from city to city, and all over the world for that matter. People are being arrested, tents are being shredded. Once they get out of jail they come right back to the exact spot they were arrested. This is about freedom, equality and fairness in every sense of the word.
The financial crisis has devastated the majority of this country, hence the 99%. Going back as far as 1897 with the suffragette movement & the the civil rights movement, starting as far back as 1948 when President Truman signed the Executive Order 9981, which states, "It is hereby declared to be the policy of the President that there shall be equality of treatment and opportunity for all persons in the armed services without regard to race, color, religion, or national origin." Then in 1945 the start of protests of our involvement occupation of Vietnam that led to the war and protests continued from 1963 to 1973. Over ten years protesting an involvement & then a war long before the internet. These brave men & women were on the streets night and day letting their voices be heard.
Karl Rove recently stated "who gave you the right to occupy America?" Well Mr.Rove these brave people did & the last time I checked the first three words in the preamble of the Constitution of the United States clearly states..."We the People..." Try reading it you might actually learn something.
